Sarah Ravenscroft

12.08.10
156 The Rosemere Cancer Foundation is delighted to welcome Sarah Ravenscroft to the staff team. Sarah joins us as Head of Fundraising following a career in fundraising and economic development and regeneration, most recently with the Heritage Trust North West.

Sarah was motivated to apply for the post following her own treatment for breast cancer. “My personal experience of the treatment I received at Rosemere and other units in the cancer network played a huge part in my decision to apply.” she says. “I want to help others who are going through cancer treatment to access excellent treatment and support just like I did.”

Sarah will be responsible for managing the fundraising team at Rosemere and helping to develop a robust strategy to build the Foundation’s income to £2 million over the next 3 years.

Rosemere Pledges Funds For Major Projects

31.05.10
The Rosemere Cancer Foundation has pledged to raise funds for a major project in each of the four NHS Trusts it supports over the coming 12 months. The initiative is part of Rosemere’s restructuring of the way in which it spends its income for the benefit of local patients and it is hoped that each project will act as a catalyst for local fundraising.
In the Cancer Centre at Preston Rosemere aims to provide a dedicated Information Bureau to provide a one stop shop through which patients and their families can access all the information they may need in whatever format suits them.At Kendal, Rosemere hopes to fund the refurbishment of Ward 11 at Westmorland General Hospital to create a comfortable and attractive area in which chemotherapy can be delivered to local patients.
Projects on the Fylde Coast and in East Lancashire will be announced shortly. Each initiative will cost in the region of £100,000 and anyone wishing to raise funds for their local project should contact the Rosemere Cancer Foundation on 01772 522913.
