BRIAN BOOTH ONCOLOGY RESEARCH PRIZE

The Brian Booth Oncology Research Prize was established in 2005 with funds donated in memory of Brian Booth, former Chairman of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  It aims to stand as a fitting and lasting tribute to Brian’s lifelong commitment to education and his support for Cancer Services and the Rosemere Cancer Foundation in particular.  The Foundation hopes it will also serve to raise the profile of oncology research within the Lancashire and South Cumbria Cancer Network.

The prize is awarded every two years and is open to oncology specialists working at any level in an NHS setting within the Lancashire and South Cumbria Cancer Network.  Entries are now open for 2012.  They should be submitted on the form provided in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the judges before 5pm on Friday, 17th August, 2012.  The winner will be announced and presented with their prize at the annual Sharing Best Practice event hosted by the Lancashire & South Cumbria Cancer Research Network in October, 2012.

Should you require any guidance or advice prior to submission of your application, please contact Sue Thompson on 01772 523454 or by email at sue.thompson@lthtr.nhs.uk.
