why support rosemere
The Rosemere Cancer Foundation is YOUR local cancer charity. It exists to make a real difference to the care of cancer patients, wherever they are treated in Lancashire and South Cumbria.
Rosemere does not fund permanent staff posts, nor does it fund anything that is the proper responsibility of the NHS. What it does fund is equipment, services and facilities that are additional to the NHS and which would not be available within an NHS budget.
Rosemere funds training that helps clinical staff at all levels be the best they can be. It funds equipment that allows them to continue to push the boundaries and be at the forefront of the fight against cancer, not just locally but nationally and internationally. It funds local cancer research, making a difference not just to today’s patients but for generations to come. And above all, it aims to make the patient journey as comfortable and stress free as possible in whatever way we can.
