Sue Thompson Chief Officer

A former regional chair of the Institute of Fundraising, Sue has almost 30 years fundraising experience. Sue has been responsible for the day to day management, strategic direction and governance of Rosemere Cancer Foundation since its inception in 1997. In addition, she has particular responsibility for marketing and for facilitating the projects Rosemere funds for the benefit of patients.

Sarah Ravenscroft Head of Fundraising

Sarah has come from a varied background in economic development and regeneration. She has designed, fundraised for and managed large strategic development programmes across the North West and overseas. Personal experience motivated Sarah to get involved with Rosemere Cancer Foundation and she now manages the fundraising team and drives the strategic development of Rosemere’s fundraising activity. She is responsible for major donors, corporate fundraising and grant applications.

Anne Sweeney Area Fundraising Co-Ordinator - Morecambe Bay

Anne started her career in leisure management before becoming one of the original CRUK team responsible for Race for Life. With extensive experience in community fundraising, she joined Rosemere in 2007 and now works with supporters, schools and local organisations to boost the Foundation’s activity in the Morecambe Bay area, including Morecambe itself, Lancaster, Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale, Windermere, Ambleside, Coniston, Ulverston and Barrow.

Laura Stephenson 

Laura Stephenson Area Fundraising Co-Ordinator - Blackpool and Fylde Coast, Preston, Central Lancashire

Laura got a taste for fundraising whilst studying for her degree in PR and Advertising. Following graduation she was given the opportunity to devise and deliver a fundraising strategy for a small charity in East Lancashire, developing local partnerships within the community, especially with young people. Laura supports fundraising across central Lancashire and The Fylde, including Preston, Chorley, Leyland, Blackpool, Lytham, Fleetwood and Garstang.

Dan Hill 

Daniel Hill Area Fundraising Co-Ordinator - East Lancashire

Daniel has more than 3 years fundraising experience with the local division of a national charity, working closely with volunteers. He is eager now to use that experience to help develop community support at all levels for Rosemere in the East Lancs. area, a part of the region he knows well, including Blackburn, Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Hyndburn, Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley.

Rita Martland Office Manager

Rita manages the admin team and is responsible for the smooth running of the Rosemere office, co-ordinating secretarial support, the administration of donations and the sale of merchandise. She also looks after a small but very dedicated group of volunteers who assist the team with a variety of office based tasks.

Lynn Day Secretary/Administrator

Following many years as a senior PA with a local building firm, Lynn joined Rosemere in 2009 to help with a wide variety of admin and clerical functions, including event entries.
