Corporate Partnerships

as a business

The support of the business community in Lancashire and South Cumbria is vital to the success of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation. However, we recognise that it can’t be a one way street and our aim is to work in partnership with our corporate supporters to the benefit of both parties. In return for increased income and profile, Rosemere can help companies to enhance customer

relations, build stronger staff teams and increase opportunities for good PR.

How can my company get involved?

Employee fundraising & matched giving

Help build a strong staff team and boost morale by encouraging your employees to fundraise for Rosemere in the workplace. Dress Down Days, Valentine's Raffles and Mince Pie Fridays in the lead up to Christmas are all cheap and easy to organise in a lunch hour or tea break. Or you could be more ambitious and challenge different departments to enter teams in a Quiz Night or hold a social event that brings staff and their families together. Consider supporting your staff in their efforts by matching what they raise up to an agreed ceiling each financial year. Click here to download a Fundraising Pack

Support Rosemere events

Promote Rosemere events to your staff and customers, encourage departments to enter rival teams or use events  to entertain clients and suppliers. See the events page for a full listing for 2010 and entry details.

Charity of the year

Many companies find it easier to work with one charity at a time so that they can build a relationship with it and really make a significant impact on its work. Sadly, cancer affects us all and the Rosemere Cancer Foundation is therefore relevant to all your employees, wherever they live in Lancashire and South Cumbria. As your Charity of the Year, Rosemere would work with you to devise a package of support that suits your business and fulfills your company's objectives.

Payroll giving

Payroll Giving schemes such as Give As You Earn provide an easy and cheap mechanism by which employees can donate to charity on a regular basis direct from their salary before tax. They are simple and inexpensive to set up and run and provide a considerable staff benefit.

Sponsorship

Rosemere activities provide a number of sponsorship opportunities, giving you the chance to put your business name and logo in front of a variety of audiences, increasing your company's profile and providing good PR. For Rosemere it means that our fundraising costs are offset, allowing more of the money we raise to go towards projects that make a real difference to cancer patients. Packages range from £25 to £2,500 and Sue and her team will be happy to help you find the one that's right for you.

Gifts in kind

Again you can help the Rosemere Cancer Foundation offset core costs and devote more of its income to projects that benefit local cancer patients by donating gifts and services.

Employee volunteering

More and more companies are encouraging community volunteering amongst their staff by allowing them a certain number of paid hours per year to help in a local charity. The Rosemere Cancer Foundation can provide a number of volunteering opportunities for your staff, including helping out with events, grant applications, marketing etc.

Commercial partnership agreements

The Rosemere Cancer Foundation works with a small number of companies through commercial partnership agreements whereby a percentage of income from particular product sales are donated to the Foundation.

Spreading the word

One of the most valuable contributions companies can make is to spread the word about what the Rosemere Cancer Foundation is and how it benefits local cancer patients to their employees, customers and suppliers. This can be done very easily and at no cost by placing Rosemere collection boxes on counters, having Rosemere newsletters in reception areas and circulating Rosemere information in internal and external mailings.
