Carole Davies, her friends, colleagues and customers from The Clifton Arms in Blackburn held a scooter push in aid of Rosemere at the start of October 2011. All 12 scooter pushers and 7 walkers donned pink hoodies kindly donated by the Last Orders Pub in Blackburn. They set off from the Clifton Arms, travelling through Witton Park, into Pleasington before heading back into Blackburn.
After a tiring but fun 3 hours the team arrived back at The Clifton Arms for a barbecue, karaoke and raffle all in aid of Rosemere. So far the team have raised over £600 with more sponsorship due in. Carole also has a darts evening planned for early 2012 to continue their fantastic fundraising efforts.
Carole had never heard of Rosemere until one of the Clifton’s darts players Denise Burns was treated for cancer by the foundation. Carole and her team decided they would do what they could to raise the profile and awareness of Rosmere in East Lancashire and in particular Blackburn.
