Dennis Benson Chairman of Committee
Following a career in the motor industry, Dennis took up the reins at Rosemere on retiring as Chairman of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2008. Since then, he has presided over a root and branch review of the Foundation’s activities and the implementation of a five year plan to build income to £2 million by 2013.

Iain Hall
In his capacity as Non-Executive Director of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Chairman of the Trust’s Endowment Fund Committee, Iain represents the Non-Executive Trustees. As a retired GP, his main concern is the patient perspective.

Martin Hogg
Martin is Clinical Director for the Cancer Centre and as such advises the Committee on the specialist provision of cancer care. He shares this role with Gerry Skailes, Lead Cancer Clinician for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Shabbir Lorgat
Following a family experience of cancer, Shabbir brings his experience of marketing, sales and the voluntary sector and lends a youthful perspective to the Committee. He also sits on the Marketing Sub-Committee.

Paul Havey
As Finance Director of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Paul represents the Executive Trustees of the charity and is responsible for overseeing Rosemere’s budget strategy.

Ruth Gorick
As a Marketing and Brand Management Consultant, Ruth has played a leading role in repositioning Rosemere for the future. She also sits on the Foundation’s Marketing Sub-Committee.

Andrea Doherty
Andrea is Lead Cancer Nurse for Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre Hospitals NHS Trust and as such represents the interests of patients and oncology colleagues on the Fylde Coast.

David Fyfe
A Consultant Oncologist based at the Oncology Unit in Lancaster, David represents the interests of patients and clinical colleagues in Morecambe Bay.

Steve Langton
As Lead Clinican for Cancer at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, Steve represents the interests of patients and oncology staff in East Lancs.

Kath Nuttall
Kath is Director of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Cancer Network and as such advises the Committee on regional and national cancer strategy.

Sue Thompson
In her role as Chief Officer, Sue advises the Committee on fundraising and charity law and provides secretariat support to its members.

Rosie Blades
As a Consultant Urologist at Royal Preston Hospital, Rosie’s surgical expertise helps to inform the Committee’s funding decisions.

Helen Clements
Helen manages the Radiotherapy Department in the Cancer Centre and advises the Committee on radiotherapy related projects.
