Chorley customers of the Nationwide Building Society, along with their counterparts in Ormskirk, Southport and Leigh, have won Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s 20 Years Anniversary Appeal a £1,200 donation from the Nationwide Building Society.
The money comes from the Nationwide’s Community Match Scheme, whereby customers visiting their local branch are given a chip to put in a collection box that is split to offer a choice of three nominated charities. Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s box received the most chips.
The donation will now be put towards a trio of ground-breaking projects celebrating the 20th anniversary of the opening of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust’s regional specialist cancer treatment centre, the Rosemere Cancer Centre, at the Royal Preston Hospital.
