Chorley Chemotherapy Unit's Magical Grand Opening

Rosemere are delighted to have helped fund a brand new chemotherapy ward which will allow people living with cancer in Chorley better access to treatment. Fundraisers, oncologists, nurses and managers celebrated the grand opening of Chorley and South Ribble District Hospital’s new facility as they cut the ribbon yesterday, symbolising its launch.

Rosemere fundraising group The Witches of Adlington raised a fantastic £31,000 towards the new unit!

A sad farewell

It is with huge sadness that we mourn the death of Ben Ashworth over the weekend.

Despite being diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer, Ben not only went on to run 24 marathons and raise thousands of pounds for his three chosen charities (Rosemere Cancer Foundation, Mummy's Star, and Beating Bowel Cancer), he made it his mission to break down the taboos around cancer in young people, and bowel cancer in particular, working tirelessly to raise awareness of the disease amongst his peers through his blog and social media. Ben was a fantastic ambassador for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, becoming very much part of the Rosemere ‘family’, and his strength, optimism, selfless determination,  generosity of spirit and sense of humour shone out till the end.  He was truly awesome, and our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
